1Mid day Meal Programme

Mid day meal programme at the Govt. Girls School, Ernakulam was inaugurated on 3/7/2013 and continuing on all Wednesdays.

Mid day meal programme at this school and LPGS Perumpalam is also continuing on all Wednesdays.

We started distribution of milk to the students of Girinagar LP School, Kadavanthara. Milk will be distributed to the students two days in a week and this will continue for this year.

2.Madhuram Malayalam Programme

RMadhuram Malayalam project started in association with Mathrubhumi at the following schools:

1) LP School, Madavan

2) Govt. Girls High School, Ernakulam

3) LPGS Perumpalam

3. Balbhavan “Bhavana School” Celebrations
Rotary Balbhavan “Bhavana School” (Play School, LKG and UKG) Celebrated Onam, Childrens’ Day and Christmas and New Year.
4.Painting competition for children
a) Conducted painting competition for children in association with Kerala Fine Arts Society at the Fine Arts Hall from 10.00am to 1.00pm. There were 3 categories of participants in age group below 6,6 to 9 and 9 to 12. The entries were adjudged and prizes were announced.
b) In connection with the Children’s Day celebration we in association with Bank Employees Arts Movement, Ernakulam conducted a painting competition for children . Rtn. Pres. A.S. Narayanamoorthy inaugurated the competitions. About 80 children participated.
5.Elocution Competition in English & Malayalam 28/9/13

Ravi Varma Endowment and Rtne. Thankamme Cheryan Endowment Elocution competitions in English and Malayalam for Plus Two and College level students were held at Balbhavan on 28th Sept. There were 21 registrations for Malayalam and 22 Registrations for English. Students from all parts of Kerala attended. Programme started from 10 am onwards. Prize winners were: A.Malayalam First Prize:Adila A.Kabeer, First Year B.A , St. Josephs College, Alapuzha Second Prize:Christa Ben , 12th Standard, Govt.Girls Higher Secondary School , Ernakulam Third Prize:Abhishek. P.S., First Year B.Sc, Acquinas College, Edakochi B.English First Prize: Chrisalice Joseph, BA Second Year,Alphonsa College, Pala Second Prize: Moin Subair,12th Std, Kendriya Vidyala, Kadavanthra Third Prize : Adarsh. V.P, 12th Std. Cochin Refinery Prize money 1st Prize 7500/-, 2nd Prize Rs. 5000/- and 3rd Prize Rs.2500/- each (separate for Malayalam and English) alongwith certificates were distributed by Rtn. Pres. Raghu Jairam on the same day.

6.Group Discussion competition 28/9/13
Group Discussion Competition for Plus Two and College level students held at Rotary Balbhavan on 28th Sept. from 1 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. 42 Registrations were there from all over Kerala. The Prize winners were: First Prize :Hurma A.K.,3rd Year, B.Com., Chinmaya Vidyalayapeeth Second Prize: Chrisalice Ela Joseph, 2nd Year English,Alphonsa College, Pala Third Prize : Adila A. Kabeer , 1st Year B A , St. Josephs College, Alapuzha First Prize Rs. 7500/-, Second Prize Rs. 5000/- and Third Prize Rs. 2500/- each and certificate were presented to the winners by President Raghu Jairam and Rtn. PP V.R. Nair.
7.Children’s Day Celebration
Rotary Balbhavan "Bhavana School" Students celebrated Children's day on 12th Nov. Various competitions were held from the 2nd week of Oct. onwards. Fancy Dress Competition held on 12th Nov. Prizes were distributed to the children by Rtn. PP M. Gopinath. Members from the Inner Wheel Club of Cochin judged the Fancy Dress competition.
8.Christmas / New Year Celebration
Rotary Balbhavan "Bhavana School" students celebrated Christmas and New Year on 20th Dec. They sang Christmas Carol & cut Cake. Cake and Sweets distributed to the students.
9.English speaking class
Rtne. Dhanya Nair is taking Spoken English Class to the students of the Govt. Girls School, Ernakulam once a week
10.Financial Assistance to Govt. Girls School for participating in the Competitions

Rs. 25000/- paid to Govt. Girls High Shool, Ernakulam towards expenses for purchasing materials and repairing the Panchavadyam instruments.
